June 9th- First Week
MY FIRST WEEK AT BETTERPLAY STUDIOS!! YIPPIEE!! Honestly this week was very nerve wracking for me, I really felt stressed and overwhelmed and was really doubting myself. I was mainly getting familiar with their vibrant brand and learning the ropes of their social media strategy. I spent time reviewing past posts, analyzing engagement patterns (basically trying to gain an understanding for how they communicate with their audience). I began brainstorming ideas for potential posts that would drive engagement.
June 16th- Picking up the Ball
This week marked my transition from observation to execution as I took on responsibility for creating and scheduling social media posts. I used tools like Canva, Illustrator and our Social Media Calender to design content and plan out the week’s calendar across Instagram, TikTok, and Linkedin. I also helped filmed and edited an animal crossing style Tiktok as the first tiktok. Crafting content that aligns with BetterPlay’s playful and quirky voice is a fun challenge, and I’m starting to feel more confident in my ability to match their style and engage their community.
June 23rd-
By my third week at BetterPlay Studios, I’ve started to hit a rhythm with the workflow, balancing creativity with strategy. Just trying to experiment with different types of posts—from sneak peeks of upcoming games to interactive polls and meme-based content—and tracking their performance to learn what resonates best. Ive been consistently pitching ideas such as revamping the companies UI/website which the team is considering! It’s rewarding to see my contributions being taken seriously, and I’m excited to keep refining my skills and growing with the team. Being seen as the “design lead” is also super encouraging and it feels like my design skills are really valued.
